Styxian Houndby *slanderxoxo

So this is a Styxian Hound. They are sort of scary looking in a way...but there purpose is very very sweet. Though sort of sad too. A styxian hound is born when a dog with a particularly bond with it's owner passes on. They are born on the banks of the river Styx, and their sole purpose is to await their owner and help guide them through the underworld when their time comes. They wait for as long as it takes along the banks, their lantern a glow for guidance for their owner to find them, as well as to help those that transverse the river on their way. Their mask/skull, as shown here, glows only once their owner has passed on, otherwise it is simply their lantern, a soft glow to mark their place. This particular hound belonged to a fierce warrior, hence his armor. Not every one would possess that accessory, as it tends to reflect who they were bonded to on Earth.
